Sound Blaster ASIO Drivers: 2.6ms latency! « on: Sep 30th, 2004, 3:19pm » |

Yes its very possible although it means getting some new drivers. Make sure all your music programs are closed then download the KX Audio Full Version drivers from the following page: http://kxproject.lugosoft.com/down.php?language=en
run the installation file and the rest is history. Once installed if you hear no sound launch the KX manager, click the speaker icon at the top left, then put a check box in the two small speaker icons that say "toggle rear and front speakers". Theese drivers will also improve the sound quality / signal to noise ratio as they route the sound differently to the normal windows drivers. Other benefits are 16 routable ASIO channels and less resource usage. When in your music programs make sure you select the KX audio ASIO audio drivers as your output. Getting the drivers working in reason: Click Edit Under audio driver select ASIO KX AUDIO Click control panel, select your desired sample rate and latency, if you have a slow PC (pentium 3) select 21.3ms latency. This is still much much better than the sound blaster drivers. Pentium 4 and above users should try 2.6ms or 5.3ms
